Workshop Description
Virtually everywhere you go in Nova Scotia, you find yourself looking at amazing scenery. From boats in a harbor to misty mornings, this maritime environment is a canvas of colors and light. From the capital city of Halifax you travel to several fishing villages — including Peggy’s Cove and Northwest Harbor — to create fine art images of the colorful buoys, boats and lighthouses. While visiting Lunenburg, you capture the essence of a lively town that proudly embraces its rich history of more than 250 years. While at Blue Rocks and Hunts Point, you capture images of the coastline as it basks in morning and evening sunlight.
During the week, Alison spends time with you in the field and one-on-one, pushing you to challenge your creativity and expand your knowledge. Her love of incorporating vivid, strong color into her photographs is shared with you as she helps you add impact to your own images. Drawing from her career experiences as a photographer, Alison encourages open discussions on your artistic, photographic and career goals. Critique sessions of both your old and new work are a great time to identify where you can improve as well as an ideal time to connect with other people. | |
